I’ve been through some trials in my life, and one thing I’ve learned is fear can stop you from being your best self. There’s freedom in being yourself. That freedom is my wish not only for me, but for everyone. Don’t you love those happy stories on the news, the ones where an ordinary someone overcomes the odds and does something extraordinary? Those are the kinds of stories I tell.
Sometimes it’s an ordinary fear and sometimes it’s a seemingly insurmountable obstacle. Either way, overcoming brings life-changing power. Even hearing or reading about it can be inspiring and life-changing. If you’re up for it, join me on this writing journey, as I tell love stories with recurring thematic elements of music, theater, and nature. I’ll keep you posted.
The world is full of fabulous folks, and I am blessed to share this writing journey with some of them. I’m an active member of the 540 Writers Community, and also a member of both the Florida Writers Association (FWA) and the American Christian Fiction Writers Association (ACFW.)
Writing delights, excites, and sometimes tries me. Passion is like that, right? Consuming in all the best ways. Which is why I have a drawer full of ideas waiting to become stories. I recently finished my first novel and am proud to announce it was a finalist (one of the top three) in the romance category of the 2023 ACFW First Impressions Contest.
While I’m querying agents with novel one, I’m working on novel number two. I’ve also written a few short stories. One was published in an FWA Collection. Another was a finalist in the FWA RPLA short short story competition. It also placed second in the 540 Writers Community Women’s Fiction category.

Oh, and I have a writing assistant – Snowball, the mail-slaying dog. Now, I know you want to know what mail-slaying means, right? Snowball loves paper. We gate the bathrooms to keep him away from the toilet paper and sometimes catch him plucking a tissue from the box on the end table. What does that have to do with mail? Ha! Ours is delivered through a slot in the door, which Snowball is convinced is a treat dispenser. You get the rest. He keeps our lives interesting.
